Welcome to the 1st ever organised Masters Indoor Hockey World Cup Women and Men. We are glad to have the opportunity to perform this event with the support and based on the rules of FIH (Federación Internacional de Hockey), the IMHA (International Masters Hockey Association) and the DHB (Deutscher Hockey Bund). We really appreciate to be able to greet 26 Hockey teams coming from countries all over the world where Indoor Hockey is practiced. We also appreciate the time and all the other inconveniences the teams take to be part of the first MIWC. We hope to be a good host and all our Hockey friends will feel comfortable during the MIWC time.

The slogan we created for this event "MEET &WIN@KREFELD " will accomany us during the whole time and means that not only Hockey matches have an outstanding value in this Masters hockey event, but also social contacts play an important role. We therefore invite you to utilize the dialogue opportunities we offer in our "MEET&WIN@KREFELD LOUNGE".

350+ players and staff will participate in the tournament. M4ties with
10 teams competing play in 2 groups same as W4ties with 8 teams. M5ties
will play in one group. Because of some withdrawels we unfortunately had
to cancel the W50 tournament. Germany's W50 will play as German Eagles
in the W4ties group. In an agreement with the IMHA there is stated that only
one German team will be allowed to play for medals. The seeding in the pools
will follow the FIH World Ranking for elite teams. The MIWC tournament will
be played according to FIH Indoor rules that means including penalty corners
and the new corner rule.

This Weekend, February 04/05 the German Hockey Championship Women and Men
will be played nearby Krefeld. Uhlenhorst Mülheim is expecting the eight best Indoor
